2/13 – Jeff’s “Chilly” Tuesday Night Forecast

Temperatures overnight will be slightly below average so it will be chilly to start Ash Wednesday/Valentine’s Day. Expect a few clouds to partly cloudy skies Wednesday as an active subtropical jet stream continues for the region. More clouds and slightly milder temperatures will be around Thursday.

More warmth and moisture greet us by Friday ahead of an unsettled period. A developing storm system in the Gulf of Mexico combined with a cold front approaching from our northwest will lead to rain chances. Friday will feature a 60% chance of light rain in the area while guidance is split on Saturday. One scenario features our area drying out Saturday while other guidance suggests a shield of rain continuing through the weekend.
