2/1 – Rob’s “WARM February Weekend” Forecast

With an area of low-pressure in the W/Central GOM moving east, rain showers have pretty much moves east. Regardless of development of the low, it should remain well south of the area, keeping most of the rain offshore this afternoon. The rest of the day remains cloudy with temperatures generally in the lower 60s, near our climatological normal for the first day of February.

Rain chances continue over the weekend although they are not terribly high as another weak impulse moves through the area tomorrow. Temperatures continue to moderate with highs on Sunday in the upper 60s to near 70 in most locations. Model differences come into play next week as a cold front tries to push into the area. Regardless, above seasonal temperatures will continue into much of the next workweek.
