12/20 Ryan’s “Finally Clear” Wednesday Forecast
It was finally clear this afternoon in South Mississippi after days of dense fog, but the better conditions will be short-lived. We’ll see some much smaller areas of patchy, but locally dense fog tonight right around sunrise as the temperature drops. Thursday is the first day of winter, and while it will cool some it will still be in the low 70s on the waterfront, but otherwise sunny and pleasant. By Friday the tail end of the front that moved though today will be just South of the area, but a stronger front will be moving through the plains backed by stronger high pressure and Arctic air. This system will bring showers and thunderstorms through South MS from Friday night into Saturday afternoon, but at the time severe weather chances appear to be minimal. Any active weather will have moved out by Christmas Eve afternoon, and considerably cooler conditions will begin to move in quickly. Expect a few nights in the upper 30s, and afternoons in the mid 50s for your holiday festivities!
