12/3 – Payton’s Monday Afternoon Forecast
The warmth continues for the third day of December. This will be the last day of warmer temperatures though as cooler air moves in tonight. Temperatures will drop into the 40s tonight and Tuesday the highs will struggle to reach the upper 50s. Wednesday morning temperatures will be cold in the mid 30s. I think we’ll stay above freezing along the coast, but in our inland counties we could see some frost. Wednesday and Thursday will be similar to Tuesday before a big pattern change on Friday. That’s when our next storm system looks like it will move through. The best chances for heavy rain look to be some time on Saturday. Right now it’s too early to get into details on exact timing, impacts and if we could see any strong thunderstorms. Stay tuned as we fine tune the forecast.
