12/25 – Payton’s Christmas Morning Forecast

Merry Christmas, Gulf Coast! Waking up this morning it’s chilly and dry. Today clouds will increase and there could be an isolated shower, but most will be dry. Tonight we will see patchy fog develop, so keep that in mind if you’re headed out on the roads. Wednesday will be another day of some clouds mixed with sun and the chance for an isolated shower. By Thursday morning rain chances increase and by Thursday afternoon into Thursday night heavy rain looks likely. There could also be a few severe thunderstorms, but it’s not likely. Friday the frontal boundary will stall in the area and that means rain chances will remain likely into the weekend. Temperatures will be running above average in the lower 70s. By Monday models start to dry us out and for the New Year cooler air will move in.
