12/16 Ryan’s “Freezing!” Wednesday Night Forecast
Last night’s front brought some early morning rain, but the below freezing weather tonight will be the biggest change. I expect the temperature to stay a degree or so above freezing on the Coast tonight, our low near 34 degrees with light, northerly winds. That means inland areas will be a few degrees even cooler than that, into the upper 20s depending on how far north you go.
Either way, it’s close enough for long enough, so you may need to cover sensitive vegetation and attend to your pipes.
Also remember to bring in outdoor pets if at all possible, or at the very least make sure they have extra bedding, food, and water. The clouds that’ve lingered for the last few days will finally move on by tomorrow, so expect sunny skies and dry weather…it just won’t warm up much, high near 54. Thursday night will be even colder, but warms rapidly into the weekend as a front approaches, so it won’t last too long.
