12/14 – Jeff Vorick’s “Clouds Clear Early” Thursday Evening Forecast

Cloudy skies this evening will clear out somewhat overnight while winds will remain elevated. Expect mild temperatures out the door for your Friday while winds will be around 10 – 15 MPH tonight into the morning. Winds will be breezy to windy at times tomorrow while a mix of clouds and sun will be in play.

Two developing areas of low pressure will influence our conditions for the next several days. A Wind Advisory is in effect for Coastal Hancock County until 12 PM Saturday, as well as a Gale Warning is in effect for all of our coastal waters. Coastal Flood alerts are in effect during the high tide cycles for the Harrison and Hancock County shorelines.

More clouds move in Friday evening, and stick around into Saturday. Rain chances of 60% are expected for Saturday. Some guidance suggests an early round of light rain, but the steadiest/heaviest showers come with a cold front Saturday evening. Rain chances end before daybreak Sunday and skies clear out for the end of the weekend.
