12/13 – Jeff Vorick’s “Mild Temperatures” Wednesday Evening Forecast

Breezy conditions will subside somewhat this evening while partly cloudy skies are expected overnight. Temperatures will be milder with generally 40s across South Mississippi. Thin upper-level clouds will continue to stream in and they will be more pronounced tomorrow. Two factors will shape the forecast for the next several days. Strong high pressure is in place across the eastern United States.

Combine that with a developing area of low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico, winds will be elevated. Breezy conditions will be around the next several days with hazardous conditions on the water, and the possibility for coastal flooding. Mostly cloudy skies will be present tomorrow, some dry air will provide for partly cloudy skies Friday. Two storm systems making their way into the region will lead to rain chances this weekend. The low pressure system in the Gulf of Mexico may provide for light rain at times Saturday. But, the highest confidence in rain will come with a cold front making its way into the area ahead of Sunday.
