11/13 – Rob Knight’s Monday/Workweek Forecast
Scattered showers continue this morning over the coastal waters, with a few moving across extreme southern Mississippi. Those showers will continue pushing south through the next few hours as the cold front continues moving south and dissipating. Clouds will clear with dew points expected to drop into the 50% range this afternoon. High pressure will begin to build in this afternoon and dominate through much of the workweek.
A slow moving upper trough to the north this week means little change expected in the local weather. I’m expecting an extended period of clear skies and mostly near normal temps. Highs will be creeping back up into the mid/upper 70s by later this week as the upper trough to the east moves out into the Atlantic Ocean. The next chance of rain and another cool down will be this weekend.
