11/8 – Rob’s “WET Friday-Eve” Morning Forecast

Fog should not be a widespread problem this morning but a few locations will see restricted visibility for a short time. Showers are already developing and moving into the area this morning.

The quasi-stationary front that has been over the northern tier of counties/parishes will advance very slowly today. There could be another round of heavy rainfall and strong thunderstorms associated with this as well. The new cold front will not move through and clean the area out Friday night.

A short reprieve occurs Saturday before a new surface low develops in the western gulf and moves northeast Sunday into Monday bringing rain to the area once again. As this new system ejects northeast, it will send anther strong cold front through the area by Monday into Monday night. This one should bring us some of the coolest air of the season so far.
