11/8 – Rob Knight’s “Cool, Cloudy & Breezy” Friday Morning Forecast

A very nice example of a cold front moving through the region this morning: with cloudy, cool and windy conditions. Cloud cover over the area will continue for a good part of the day but eventually this will clear and the weekend looks fantastic.

The weekend will bring a warm-up with the next cold front expected to move through around 7 pm Monday. Any thunderstorm activity should rush through during the same time frame. Once that line moves through, moisture flow will continue over the front but a deep dry layer will move in fast enough to cut off chances of precip by mid-morning Tuesday.

There is a slight chance that a mix of wintry precip will occur around Hattiesburg just as the last of the moisture is moving out, but even if this occurs, it is not expected to cause any issues. Strong cold air behind the front will bring the 1st FREEZE of the season by Wednesday morning.
