11/5 – Rob Knight’s Friday-Eve Mid-Morning Forecast
Today and Friday, high pressure will build over the region. Conditions will be dry and cool. Easterly to northeasterly surface winds will help to enhance some moisture into the area. Upper-level moisture will bring high clouds to the area as temperatures continue to warm.
Saturday and Sunday, a trough of low-pressure is expected to move through our area, which could enhance the rainfall chances. The advection of tropical moisture into the area due to the easterly winds will act to enhance the potential for rain, mainly along the coastal areas. Some lightning may be possible as well if the trough is a bit stronger than expected.
Monday through Wednesday, high-pressure builds back over the area, which will lower the rain chances. Northerly surface winds will help to enhance the cold air advection and dry air advection into the area these days.
