11/27 Ryan’s “Not Quite Freezing” Tuesday Night Forecast

It’s still going to be brutally cold tonight, just not quite below freezing on the waterfront tonight.

Expect lows to fall to 35 degrees in Gulfport tonight, but inland areas can still freeze and should take steps to protect their pipes, outdoor plants and pets.

Tonight will be the last night we’ll need to take those steps for a while though. Temperatures will warm rapidly into Wednesday night and the weekend as warm, moist air piles up ahead of our next low pressure system. This low will bring cloud cover on Thursday and rain for the weekend.

Expect most of the rain to occur between Friday night and Saturday afternoon with slightly cooler and drier air moving in for the start of the week.

Don’t expect much of a cool down though; next week’s temperatures are going to feel much closer to Spring than Fall.
