11/27 – Payton’s Tuesday Afternoon Forecast
It was cold cold start, but temperatures have started to climb slowly. Today will continue to be chilly and breezy. Bundle up if you’re heading to the polls to vote. Tonight will be another cold one with lows in the mid 30s. Inland areas could see temperatures approach freezing. Wednesday will be another chilly one with maybe one or two clouds. Thursday will bring changes to the pattern as high pressure builds off to the east. This will allow southerly winds and moisture to return. There could be one or two showers Thursday and Friday. By Saturday a strong trough moves in from the west and rain chances will go up. right now it appears any strong storms would be Friday night into Saturday morning to the northwest of South Mississippi. We’ll have to watch for a few to be on the strong side here on the coast. Sunday – Tuesday rain chances will continue as anther system moves through. Thursday – Wednesday of next week highs will be above average in the lower to mid 70s.
