11/27 – Jeff Vorick’s “Changes Ahead” Sunday Night Forecast

Today was a welcomed break from the active pattern we have seen over the past few days. A minor disturbance will move through the area tonight into tomorrow. All it will manage to bring is a deck of upper-level clouds that will be around in the morning. Clouds will clear in quick fashion during the day Monday leading to sunny skies during the afternoon.

Cloud cover will increase early Tuesday with our next weather-maker. A warm front will be lifting through our area during the day. That combined with being in the warm sector of a frontal system swinging out of the Rockies will lead to showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon.

Our area is currently under a Level 1 of 5 severe thunderstorm threat Tuesday. However, that is subject to change. There is the potential for tornadoes, especially north of our area. A line of thunderstorms associated with the cold front will work through the area early on Wednesday. Expect rapid clearing during the afternoon followed by a noticeable drop in temperatures.
