11/22 – Jeff Vorick’s “Warmer” Tuesday Afternoon Forecast

The warm-up has begun across South Mississippi. Despite cloud coverage being around, temperatures will reach the 60s this afternoon. A disturbance to our west will progress to the east throughout the day. It will weaken under the influence of high pressure to our northeast.

Clearing will begin early in the morning tomorrow. With the warmer overnight low temperatures and the mid-to-upper level flow becoming southerly, there is a risk for patchy fog Wednesday morning. Fog is potentially in play for Thursday and Friday mornings as well. Temperatures will reach 70 in the afternoon.

A frontal system to our west will begin to influence our weather leading into Thanksgiving Day. Moisture will work into the area ahead of the system. Rain and some embedded thunderstorms will be in place by Thursday afternoon. The system will be bringing rounds of rainfall Thursday through Saturday. There is potential for thunderstorms Friday and Saturday.
