10/30 – Jeff’s “Colder & Windy” Monday Night Forecast
It will be chilly and windy overnight as a cold front is well past our area. Some light rain will work into South Mississippi towards daybreak and will be around at times until it moves out by early afternoon. Your Tuesday will be much cooler and winds will be elevated for the entire day. Winds will be over 25 – 30 MPH at times.
Some clearing will take place before sunset tomorrow, and much clearer skies will be around for the middle-to-end of the week. Due to elevated winds and very dry conditions, a Red Flag Warning is in place from 10 AM – 7 PM Tuesday, and could go into place again Wednesday. On the water, a Small Craft Advisory is in effect until 7 PM Tuesday, and then a Gale Warning goes into its place until Wednesday morning.
With winds backing off and skies being clearer, Wednesday and especially Thursday morning will be much colder. Temperatures could cause frost issues in some spots. Winds will gradually turn southerly by the end of the week and temperatures turn warmer in the extended.
