10/26 Ryan’s “Great Start” Monday Evening Forecast

Great start to the week so far, but sadly it won’t last too much longer. Hurricane Zeta formed earlier today, and seems to have its sights set on South MS. Current landfall timing has it moving in around midnight Wednesday, but that is still subject to change. We won’t see any major related changes tonight, but expect to see clouds slowly increasing through the night. It’ll remain on the warm side as well with a low near 69.

Tomorrow will begin similarly to today, but dark clouds and the potential for thunderstorms rises quickly after lunchtime.

Expect a high near 81 with a 50% chance of showers on the back end of the day. Zeta’s outer bands will continue to move in throughout Wednesday with landfall expected in SE Louisiana between 8-10 PM. Thankfully, drier air should keep Zeta from strengthening too much in the days ahead. That means Zeta should be a low end Hurricane or high end Tropical Storm, but we’ll continue to watch. Stay tuned for updates.
