10/19 – Payton’s Friday Afternoon Forecast
After a cool start, today we will transition back to typical South Mississippi weather with increasing moisture this afternoon. This means some clouds today along with an isolated shower or two, but not expecting widespread rain. This evening and tonight for Friday Night Football there could be a shower or two, but it will be primarily dry. We could have some patchy fog develop overnight. Saturday, rain chances go up ahead of our next cold front. The front will move through Saturday night, and that means fall like weather again on Sunday. Highs on Sunday will be in the lower to mid 70s with a dry north breeze. Monday, moisture starts to return ahead of what looks like a somewhat active weather pattern next week. Rain chances will start to elevate on Tuesday and stay elevated through around Friday. Next weekend appears to usher in some drier fall like air. Have a wonderful weekend!
TROPICS: No tropical development is expected over the next five days.
