10/16 – Chief Meteorologist Rob Knight’s “Beautiful Weekend” Forecast
The cold front is now well east of the area with sunshine along south Mississippi. A tightening gradient will have winds from the north gusting into the upper teens to low 20 mph range through this evening before calming.Clear skies overnight will lead to good radational cooling and coupled with a north wind, temperatures will drop into the mid/upper 40s inland to 50 degrees closer to the beach.
A less humid air mass will dominate through much of the weekend. By Sunday, a warmer flow will begin in advance of the next system approaching from the NW…but will stall to the NW until early/mid-week next week. For the most part after this morning, rain-free conditions will continue through Wednesday.
