1/17 – Payton’s Thursday Night Forecast
Clear as of 9 PM, but Expect a slow commute tonight into Friday morning as fog develops across the area. Friday will be primarily dry, but coastal areas will likely stay foggy on and off through the afternoon. By Saturday the strong storm system moves through the area. Heavy rain is likely Saturday between 10 AM and 2 PM. There is also a low threat for a severe thunderstorms. By Saturday night strong northerly winds will push in colder air and windchills will drop into the 20s by Sunday morning. Sunday won’t warm much with highs in the mid 40s, but the strong winds will make it feel like the 30s all day long. Sunday night will likely bring freezing temperatures to the area. Coastal areas will dip to the lower 30s while inland areas will likely experience a hard freeze with lows in the upper to mid 20s. Remember to protect your pets, people, plants and pipes. Monday we begin to warm up ahead of our next storm system, which looks like it will bring more rain and colder temperatures by the later part of next week.
