1/16 – Jeff’s “Hard Freeze Warning” Tuesday Night Forecast
Bitterly cold temperatures continue overnight along with a Hard Freeze Warning and Wind Chill Advisory. Temperatures in the teens will feel like the single digits tomorrow. Bring in pets and plants, take precautions to protect pipes, and check on neighbors to be sure they’re adequately warm. Record low temperatures of 17 and 18 in Gulfport and Pascagoula, respectively, need to be watched as well.
Sunny skies will be around but tomorrow and tomorrow night will still be cold by our standards. Freezing temperatures are likely out the door Thursday too before a frontal system makes its way into the area. A chance of light rain is possible Thursday before another cold shot of air arrives for the end of the week into this weekend. A hard freeze is likely both Friday and Saturday night. Signals of a warmer pattern are in play for next week along with unsettled conditions.
