09/17 Ryan’s “Great Start” Monday Evening Forecast

The weather is off to a great start this week! As we finished off last week it was looking like the weather was trending in a much sunnier/drier direction, and so far I’m still highly confident in that forecast. Skies today were mostly sunny, with an afternoon high near 94 degrees.

Expect the afternoons for the rest of the week to be similar, and should actually cool a handful of degrees by this time next week thanks to a weak cold front.

Rain chances will remain slightly below what I would consider “typical” for a normal summer afternoon. High pressure and drier air in the mid-upper levels will limit convection, but I’m leaving a 20% chance because the afternoon sea breeze will do it’s best to bring showers as it did today. Next Saturday seems to have the highest chances of rain over the next several days, and that’s only around 40% as a shortwave moves around a high over the Gulf.
