09/07 Ryan’s “Football” Friday Evening Forecast

It’s still been a rainy afternoon, but it’s clearing up quickly as we head toward the start of tonight’s football games! These drier conditions linger through the weekend, and temperatures will be a little lower than average for the whole forecast period. The rain doesn’t stay away long though.

A cold front is developing as a frontal system absorbs the remnants of Gordon, and it’ll be pushing into South MS by Sunday evening.

This front is crawling though, so it will take a few days to pass through. That means higher rain chances last from late Sunday into around Thursday before we’ll see any significant change to the rain chances. Even after the front moves through, rain chances will continue holding steady at around 30%. So even after the rainy start to the week, we’ll still see rain during the afternoon on the drier days.
