08/24 Ryan’s “Marco” Monday Evening Forecast

Marco moved quickly across the Gulf over the weekend, but is weakening rapidly just south of the coast. That means while we won’t see any significant winds or storm surge, we will still get bands of showers through the night. Expect a low near 76 degrees with gusty winds and scattered showers.

Only thing to really watch for would be locally high rain accumulation if any “training” areas develop.

This goes for tomorrow as well, where rain chances will average around 70% throughout the day. Expect grey skies with a high near 86, and moderate winds. Things would normally start to clear up after a tropical system, but Hurricane Laura will have likely formed by then. Laura initially looked as if it may come much closer, but is now expected to miss wide left, into the “boot-heel” of Louisiana Wednesday night.
