08/20 Ryan’s “Washed-Out” Thursday Evening Forecast

The sky looked grey and washed-out today thanks to upper level cloud cover and a few slow-moving afternoon showers and thunderstorms, but will clear some overnight. Expect a few clouds to hold on with a mild low near 72 and light easterly winds.

There will be some shower and thunderstorm activity near the coast, but should only move significantly inland in the afternoon.

Friday’s rain chances were high earlier in the week, but they’ve fallen closer to the average of 30% now. Saturday’s looking drier as well, but as we begin next week we’ll see much more. That’ll be due to a lingering front and some upper level energy, but the real issue will be later week as tropical storms move in. Right now seems that time will be Tuesday afternoon/Wednesday morning, but there’s still a long way to go as they develop.
