08/07 Ryan’s “Summertime Pattern” Friday Morning Forecast

A fairly typical summertime pattern has emerged, leading to more hot and humid, but beautiful weather.

We’ve enjoyed some manageable heat and nice days recently as we’ve entered a typical summertime pattern for South Mississippi. That means it’ll still be hot and humid, but not ridiculously or dangerously so like we saw last week. Highs for today and for the next few days will linger near, or even a degree or so below normal across the area. That means a high near 90 for the Gulfport/Biloxi area today, but still with higher-than-normal humidity. That’ll have heat indices around 100°, just south of Heat Advisory territory. Still, continue to remain hydrated and stay out of the sun as much as possible due to a high UV Index. We’ll see a few afternoon showers as well as the sea breeze sets up, leading to more spotty shower and thunderstorm activity later today. Chances will linger around our typical 20% through the weekend, but increase a bit next week.
