07/27 Ryan’s “Clear” Thursday Night Forecast

Air temperatures rose into the mid 90s as expected today, and the incredibly hot heat indices lingered in the triple digits across the South MS. Expect very similar conditions as we head into tomorrow thanks to deep high pressure system, so it’ll be another day to watch your outdoor exposure and hydrate as much as possible. We’ll get a little relief as we begin the weekend due to a cold front pushing into the area. It is slowing down some, but expected to pass through Gulfport by 9 PM, and will bring considerably drier, but not much cooler, air. We’ll remain in the upper 80s/low 90s through the middle of the week, when we’ll begin seeing afternoon rain chances and cloud cover beginning to increase as moisture returns.

The tropical wave Southwest of Cabo Verde now has a 30% chance of tropical development over the next 5 days, and will continue to be watched.
