07/25 Ryan’s “Much Drier” Tuesday Night
After another rainy morning & afternoon, we’ll finally begin seeing some much drier weather! This afternoon’s showers have already dissipated, we’ll see the skies begin to gradually clear through the overnight hours, and high pressure begins to strengthen in South MS over the next few days.
While you can expect dry weather from Wednesday to Friday, we will begin to see a few afternoon highs in the mid 90s. This heat will be compounded by our low level humidity, leading to some high heat indices and the possibility of heat related illnesses. “Feels like” conditions will be in the 100-105 degree range across the six coastal counties, so be sure to take precautions to limit long term exposure to the elements. These include, but are not limited to: wearing light clothing, shady head coverings, drink plenty of water, take “shade breaks” as often as possible, use sunscreen, and remain in air conditioned spaces if needed.
The Atlantic tropics remain quiet, as much drier air and strong wind shear dominates the area. No new areas of development expected within the next 5 days.
