07/24 Ryan’s “Wet Weekend” Friday Evening Forecast

We have a wet weekend on the way thanks to tropical moisture provided by Tropical Storm Hanna. Its outer bands will continue to pass over the coast through the weekend, so expect even more rain. Tonight’s weather will feature a cooler low in the mid 70s, with cloudy skies and scattered showers. These showers can become thunderstorms as we head into the afternoon, so expect a cooler high near 85 and a 70% chance of rain.

Daily totals still shouldn’t be anything significant, but since these conditions will continue into next week, flooding issues will likely pop up soon.

Remember to avoid standing water while driving and “turn around, don’t drown.” It won’t be until next Thursday before we see a significant decrease in rain chances, returning to our average of 30% by then. In fact, don’t expect significant clearing or drying until next weekend.
