07/05 Ryan’s “MS Furnace” Friday Forecast

It feels like Mississippi was in a furnace today! Heat indices rose into the 105-110 degree range this afternoon, and I don’t expect a significant cool-down anytime soon.

Temperatures will remain in the upper 90s for the rest of the weekend and the humidity won’t change much, so get comfortable when this muggy weather.

I expect little change until Monday, when the cloud cover will begin to thicken slightly. This trend continues into the middle of the week, where rain chances also climb. The rain-cooled air and little bit of shade we’re getting will lower temperatures some, but only into the lower 90s and the heat index will still be in the 100s.
