06/03 Ryan’s “Hottest” Monday Evening Forecast

I believe today was the hottest day of the year so far, but thankfully these temperatures don’t stick around. It’ll remain hot and sunny tomorrow, but expect clouds and showers to start moving in by Wednesday. This activity will linger for a few days as a developing frontal system slowly pushes the remnants of a tropical disturbance our way.

This wave is currently in the Bay of Campeche and has a 60% chance of tropical development by Wednesday.

That’s around the time it should landfall in Northeastern Mexico or South Eastern Texas, after which point it will begin moving East. We aren’t under any severe threat at this time, but we’ll keep monitoring the situation as it develops. Regardless of what happens with that system, the skies begin clearing by the weekend and next week will start only slightly less hot than today was.
