05/21 Ryan’s “Cool & Wet” Sunday Night Forecast

Finally a little relief from the uncomfortably warm and humid evenings we’ve seen over the last few nights, as cool & wet conditions have moved in after another round of afternoon/evening rain. Don’t expect to remain too cool for long though; a stationary front will settle in overhead keeping warm & moist air coming in from the South, but drier air continuing form the North, causing surface convergence and showers during the afternoon. This means we’ll continue to add more rain to our already high totals, meaning flooding will likely be a major issue in the coming days. The rain will continue until Tuesday night/Wednesday morning when a second cold front will finally push through, bringing those clear skies and sunny conditions we’ve missed for the last week or so. Until then, we’ll remain under at least a marginal threat for severe weather, but chances of anything other than continued heavy rain are very low.
