05/11 Ryan’s “Muggy” Thursday Night Forecast

It’s going to be warm and muggy tonight on the Gulf Coast, as our evening low will only drop to around 71. Winds will remain in the 10-15 mph range tonight (outside of protected areas) and will prevent any thick fog formation, despite the high relative humidity. The cold front won’t arrive until just after midnight on Friday, but showers can start as early as 7 AM, with the stronger storms moving in immediately after lunch. We remain under a “marginal” severe threat, but little severe weather is expected at this time.

After the front, expect plenty of clearing/drying but no cooling. Saturday’s high will rise back into the lower 80s quickly, and by the beginning of next week we’ll be heading into the mid-to-upper 80s. The humidity will be on the rise as well, and will bring evening lows in the 70s back as early as next Wednesday night.
