05/18 Ryan’s “Drier Today” Friday Night Forecast
I expected it to be slightly drier today and so far that has verified. We still had a few daytime heating induced showers and thunderstorms, but far fewer than yesterday and not quite as strong. There was still a report of a waterspout early in the day in Pass Christian and small hail near Bay St. Louis. Tomorrow will be similar to today with a high near 90 and low in the mid 70s, and we’ll still see the chance of some isolated showers and thunderstorms during the hottest part of the day. Overall, expect similar weather to this all week long, but rain chances and cloud cover will increase slightly as we begin next week. Otherwise no fronts or organized active weather will move through over the next seven days. If you’re going to go out and enjoy South Mississippi outdoor activities this weekend, and I hope that you do, please stay hydrated and seek shade whenever possible.
