05/10 Ryan’s “Drier?” Friday Evening Forecast
Despite being grey and dreary all day it was much drier today than it was yesterday. The skies were low and heavy, but only a tenth of an inch of rain fell on average across the six southern counties. Don’t expect that to be the rule going forward though. We are not done with the rain or potential for strong thunderstorms for the rest of the weekend either.
Saturday and Sunday still have a “marginal” risk for severe weather, and even if that doesn’t verify, waves of heavy rain and a few thunderstorms are on the way.
We’re also starting to see changes in the timing. It had looked like Monday would clear up significantly, but now it’s possible the boundary stalls overhead instead of pushing through. This would keep a decent chance of showers and at least partly sunny skies in place through the middle of the week. Thankfully though, after a week of rainfall next weekend is looking much drier and more sunny.
