04/13 Ryan’s “Slowly Drying” Monday Night Forecast

A cold front moved through without any South MS severe weather, but things are now slowly drying out as colder air moves in. In fact, areas southeast of Stone County barely saw any rain at all!

REGARDLESS, THE FRONT DID PASS THROUGH AND COOLER, DRIER AIR IS SLOWLY MOVING IN.

“Slowly” is the operative word because the high was still in the mid 80s today, but will cool in the days ahead. Expect some of that cooling tonight, as the high falls into the mid 50s. We’ll see clear skies and light northerly winds which will continue into tomorrow afternoon. By then we’ll have cooled to around 77 degrees, with further cooling taking us into the low 70s by Wednesday.

NOT MUCH CHANGES FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK, BUT A FRONT DOES MOVE IN BY FRIDAY.

Expect more humidity and warmer highs as it moves in, capped by cloudy skies and scattered showers. These showers linger through the weekend due to multiple fronts, but clear up by next Monday.
