03/14 Ryan’s “Pi Day” Thursday Evening Forecast
Happy Pi Day everyone! It’s a day for scientists and mathematicians to enjoy the mathematical constant 3.14 (etc.) while others just eat pie. However you celebrate it in South MS, the weather wasn’t very good. It’s still cloudy and exceptionally humid, but rain hasn’t been an issue yet. That’s changing over the next few hours.
By 9 PM moderate-to-heavy showers will move in as the front does, and while thunderstorms are expected severe weather is not.
This front will pass through, but the showers and cloudy days are not over yet. There seems to be some upper level instability and moisture lingering along the coastline, almost as if another, elevated front is trying to develop but never quite does. This will keep spotty showers and cloudy skies in place through Saturday morning, but we’ll see gradual clearing after that. By St. Patrick’s Day expect mostly sunny skies and mild afternoons with even more clearing and cooling before the weekend.
