02/20 Ryan’s “Stormy” Monday Night Forecast

Scattered showers are already popping up in SW Mississippi, but the stormy conditions will wait until after midnight. A few wind reports were associated with this system as it moved through Texas, but no severe weather is expected for South Mississippi tonight. The front will move through the area from around 2 am through 7 am tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, with scattered showers and clouds remaining due to “wrap-around” moisture for the rest of the day. We’ll begin seeing some clearing on Wednesday, but warm conditions will remain until after Friday, when another cold front will move through the area. Little rain is expected with this second system, but it will cool us off for the weekend by bringing our temperatures back into the upper 60s and low 70s for a few days as we begin next week.
