01/11 Ryan’s “Changing” Friday Evening Forecast

The last few days have been nearly perfect in South Mississippi, but things are changing rapidly overnight. Evening temperatures will remain chilly for a few hours after sunset, but begin warming into the early morning hours as cloud cover and warm, moist air moves in.

Due to the southerly wind shift, expect tonight’s evening low to be almost 20 degrees warmer than last night’s, climbing to 52.

The temperature won’t be the only change though, you can also expect our first instance of “active” weather in quite some time. It won’t be a very dramatic in any case, as severe weather isn’t really possible and rainfall totals will only average near a tenth of an inch.

Basically, scattered showers are expected between the hours of 4 and 10 PM as the front moves through with clearing and drying starting almost immediately after.

Some upper level cloud cover will linger through most of Sunday, but mostly sunny to sunny skies remain until the middle of the week. By Thursday the clouds begin to thicken again, and rain chances rise to 30% for the weekend.
