Location Change for Monday’s Annual Laying of the Wreath Ceremony on Veterans Day

There are a number of events here locally you can attend to pay your respects honoring Veterans Day.

Monday in Gautier, there will be a wreath laying ceremony in honor of our veterans on Veterans Day. Put on by the city of Gautier and the American Legion Post 1992, the 7th Annual Veterans Day Laying of the Wreath Ceremony will take place Monday, November 11th at 11 am. Due to the weather forecast, Gautier leaders have announced a new location for this event, which was initially set to take place at the Veterans Tribute Tower located on Highway 90 in Gautier. Instead, the ceremony will be held at the American Legion Post 1992, located at 3824 Old Spanish Trail in Gautier, at the same time – 11 am.

Also, on Monday, Veterans Day, the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce will host its “Freedom is Not Free” event to honor all veterans at the Jackson County Veterans Memorial Monument, in downtown Moss Point from 11 am to 1 pm.
