Veteran’s Job Fair at the Coast Coliseum

Many service men and women transitioning from military to civilian life find it difficult to find jobs. One organization is here in Biloxi to help them out.
Unemployment Eliminators opened their doors to a job fair this morning at the Coast Coliseum and Convention Center, giving veterans, transitioning military members and general job seekers the chance to meet potential employers. Over 40 companies including law enforcement, Gulf Coast casinos and universities had representatives at the job fair.
This organization is made up of veterans and they use these job fairs to give back to the military community. Chari Woodrum with Unemployment Eliminators said, “It can be difficult. Military life is a lot different than civilian and a lot of times, sometimes the skills they learn in the military don’t necessarily translate to a civilian job so we offer a lot of different opportunities for them to explore for their next career after serving our country.”
