Vancleave woman charged in death of infant son
A Vancleave woman is charged with the June 14th death of her infant son.
Sheriff Mike Ezell says 28-year-old Elizabeth Marie Barhonovich is charged with second degree murder. The sheriff says ten-month-old Kash Barhonovich died after being left in his mother’s vehicle for an unknown length of time while it was parked in the heat at her home.
Preliminary autopsy results show the manner of death is consistent with hyperthermia. Barhonovich is jailed without bond in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center, awaiting an initial court hearing.
