Teen Gulf Coast Leadership Symposium this Saturday

Calling all teens: one organization on the Coast wants to help you take your leadership skills to the next level.
This weekend, the Pink Lotus Project is putting on Gulf Coast Leadership Symposium: “The Teen Experience.”
Teens filing into the MGCCC Jeff Davis campus on Saturday will participate in fast-paced, interactive sessions geared toward making them a better leader.
Symposium organizers tell News 25 they want teens to take what they learn this weekend and use it in everyday life to better themselves and their peers. Pink Lotus Project Board Member Kewanna Riley said, “These are life skills and we think that if we start teaching them now, I teach fourth grade, so the young people who leave me and go on to middle school and high school, if they are able to gain these skills we know it’ll have such a great impact on their lives as a whole. We don’t want the leadership to stop right now.”
The symposium will last from 8:30 until 1:30. Registration is free. For more information, search “Gulf Coast Leadership” on Eventbrite.com.
