T.C.U. Destroys Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl

Ole Miss’ season has officially come to an end and there wasn’t much for fans to celebrate. Wednesday afternoon, T.C.U. crushed Ole Miss in Atlanta in the Peach Bowl.

The nation’s number two ranked scoring offense walked all over Ole Miss’ defense, putting up 28 points in just the first half. Ole Miss went scoreless throughout three and a half quarters and kicked a lone field goal in the fourth. Final score: T.C.U. – 42, Ole Miss – 3. Many local fans watched the game at Murky Waters in downtown Gulfport, where two of the three owners are Ole Miss alumni. Even though Wednesday’s game was a washout, fans are encouraged by the team’s overall impressive season.

Brandon Atwell, owner of Murky Waters Blues & BBQ, says, “It’s been a great season. Usually by the third or fourth game, everybody is turning their TVs off in the middle of the game, but what Hugh Freeze worked on with the program in terms of long term, it’s been a great, great season for both Mississippi teams actually, so we’ve been very fortunate.”
