‘Stennis Employees for Medical Freedom’ group hold prayer and freedom rally

Stennis employees gathered in Hancock County for another prayer and freedom rally protesting the federal government’s vaccine mandate deadline.

The group Stennis Employees for Medical Freedom are standing united against the vaccine mandate with employees from other NASA Centers across the country from 3:30 to 5:30 at the intersection of Highway 607 and Interstate 10, just south of Stennis Space Center.

Test operations engineer Nyla Trumbach says civil servants like herself and her co-workers are protesting the November 22nd deadline to receive the vaccine. “We want to be seen and heard. We hope that the mandate goes away completely. I think it’s becoming more evident that more and more people from around the country are against this mandate.”

Trumbach says all requests for vaccine exemptions have gone to NASA headquarters for review.
