St. Martin girls robotics team to compete in world competition

Last month, St. Martin Middle School girls robotic team won the Vex State Robotics Competition. Now they’re on their way to compete against teams from around the world and represent the state of Mississippi.
To lend a helping hand with their accomplishments, Future Design Group donated $1,000 as well as an additional thousand dollars to help with graphic design for their t-shirts and banners.
Along with the donation, they spoke to students about how technology has affected the way we live and even gave them some hands on experience.
Alayna Tagert is a member of the St. Martin girls robotics team. She said, “Our robot is a push bot. This pushes stars under the fence and this, it can lift up and this can knock the stars off the top of the fence.”
The team will compete in the world competition April 19th through the 22nd in Kentucky.
