Silver Slipper Casino loses power
It was a hot day for some people who were staying at the Silver Slipper Casino in Bay St. Louis.
Around noon, a vehicle hit a power pole out in front of the casino causing the power to go out for a couple of hours. General Manager John Ferrucci says the generator took a little bit longer than normal to kick back on.
During those hours without electricity, they were forced to shut down some table games and the restaurant. They were able to get the power back on around 2 p.m., just in time for the restaurant to prepare for dinner.
The driver was not injured in the crash.
