‘Shuck Cancer’ Fun Ride Friday in Biloxi

May is Bike Month and what better way to honor it than with a fun bike ride!

You can do just that on Friday at the Shuck Cancer Fun Ride. It’s an evening bike ride through Downtown Biloxi that helps to support our neighbors in their battle against cancer.

After the ride there will be live music outdoors, a cold beer, and some crawfish and shrimp at the District Green’s Downtown Block Party.

The ride is free, but if you would like to help the cancer society you can buy a ticket.

There are two different types, both include raffles. There’s a $20 ticket that will give you a free Fly Llama beer and one for $50 that will give you unlimited beer. Biloxi Bicycle Works Owner Bart Luther said, “It’s going to be family fun. It’s going to be a good time. We get to ride bikes. So, that’s part of Bicycle Month is about getting people involved. It’s not a race. It’s for the community. Just come out and ride. It’s not an imitation thing. It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be safe. It’s going to be beautiful.”

To register for the ride or find another to participate in, visit the Biloxi Bicycle Works Facebook page.
