Severe weather around the state

Severe weather is making its way across parts of the south.

Damage is being reported in Wayne County after a tornado struck there earlier today.

A Hattiesburg resident shot video of the storm. Wayne County Emergency Management is confirming damage to homes, according to the National Weather Service in Mobile.

A massive funnel cloud is caught on camera sweeping through the community of Brookhaven in Lincoln County. It’s still unclear if that tornado caused damage to the area.

Tornados were confirmed today in Lincoln, Copiah, and Wayne County.

Forecasters says central and northern Mississippi will likely endure the brunt of the bad weather.
